A Case of Parasitic Epignathus

Abstract
|
|
|
Authors had ovserved a case of epignathus which was asymmetric conjoined twin with bizarre parasite attached to left maxilla of autosite,aged 2 days,at Department of Pediatrics, Busan National University Hospital.
On the 2rd admission day, parasitic epignathus was removed surgically, which was composed of one leg with a well developed nail(5X2XIcm),one arm(3X2XIcm), rudimentary pelvis(8X6.8Xlcm) and unclassified brain like sac resembled hematoma(8.5X5.2X2cm).
On 15th admission day, patient was able to feed whole milk successfully without dyspneic difficulty and became to gain weight normally.
